life stuff

Life's been a bit weird lately. I've 3 friends who've lost parents to cancer in the last week. 3. All in the same week. Weird.

But we also christened one of last year's premmies on the weekend - an wonderful (edit: on rereading this I've decided 'wonderful affirmation' sounds naff) affirmation of life in the midst of the sadness - and the sun has been shining, which just makes everything seem more bearable.

And I stole a moment this morning to have a lovely brunch, courtesy of a generous birthday present from my fabulous boss, and hatch a most sneaky plan for husband's birthday next month ...

(relevant details erased gnh gnh gnh ... )

Excellent blocking out stuff action, and a lovely leaf on the latte.
Today's completely inane comments. You're welcome.

Life is always weird, the title of one of my favourite books (by Spanish writer Carmen Martin Gaite) is something like Living's the strange thing. I keep going back to that, specially when really sad things happen but life goes on. Sometimes, try to continue with our lives is all we can do.

Isn't it strange that good things and some not so good stuff occurs simultaneously leaving us confused?
Life is weird!

Good luck with plan for your hubby B'day!

Mmm, lovely latte!

Life is a circle indeed, in our end is our beginning and all that.

Loved your desk post yesterday, but was too shy to comment. I'm out of the woodwork today....i tidied my desk in hommage to you, took a while. Ahem!

Can I just add to the inane comments can I add that I love the red notebook? I've got a bit of a notebook thing.

Hang on in through the weirdness..

I love the image of the baby... grounding.

The leaf - a picture worthy latte!

I suppose the theme here might be the circle of life, or maybe balance?

And what's the point of letting us view up close if we can't see the good stuff? You're such a tease.

I got my first latte leaf the other day and loved it more than the hearts. Just look at the details.

i just had a latte leaf here in oslo..i even watched her do it, but don't think i could duplicate. i'll have to go watch a few more times.

how did you do that scribbling out? did you photoshop? (she says in fearful voice, knowing it will eventually suck her in.)

Yup, chubby red moleskine diary for 2009. Which I had to snapped up in Feb 08 (or thereabouts). They're available for about 5 seconds before getting sold out.
I love it.
It's too small, but I love it : )

Ohh it's so nice to hear that the preemie is doing well! I'm sorry for being a quiet reader lately - I missed your birthday and I feel bad for not sending happy returns your way.

(Here are some belated birthday greetings!)

I am very excited to see what's behind all that blacked out bit, lucky husband! :)

PS: Is it wrong that I am considering getting a custom made WTF? stamp. It would come in handy!
